Mary and her daughter have had the honour of being invited to Park Lane in London at the Grosvner House Hotel in recognition of her charity work for presenting the cancer research with a cheque which was the proceeds from one of her shows, and which Dr. Buckanan from London acknowledged. Mary was in the presence of other charity workers and famous entertainers. She has been going to the Town Hall since 1947 which was in those days with the late Mrs. Charles Hughes and her daughter Dilys. There are still 4 entertainers together today on the stage since that time.
Another part of the Players were the Holyhead Mis Shapes - who entertained at the Pavilion Theatre in Rhyl. All proceeds were given to the Diabetic Association of Great Britain.
