The "Parti Dawns Lan Mor" was a group consisting of 10 girls. They dressed in full Welsh National Costume and dance Welsh Traditional dances and sing Welsh songs. The Welsh dance group had the honour of entertaining the Prince of Wales when he visited the R.A.F. station at Valley on Anglesey. They sang and danced at Dun Laoghaire National Maritime Museum in Ireland, with the Dublin Welsh Male Voice choir also in attendance. Also at the Celtic Festival at Cemaes Bay, the Anglesey Show to an audience of 30,000, the Llangollen Royal Pavilion and Arena to a very large audience at the Hot Air Balloon Festival, and at Llandudno's Christmas Fare where they danced and sang in the town centre and arcade for thousands of people. At Oriel Mon in Llangefni - is a replica of the portrait the dance team presented to Prince Charles. They danced and sang at the London Welsh at Jewin, and were invited to tour and sight see the houses of Parliament in London. They danced and sang at Westminster Hall to many tourists, whilst Mary and seven of her senior group entertained 60 members of Parliament at the Speakers' House (Betty Boothroyd) and after entertaining enjoyed a wonderful banquet with the MP's. The following day they had a guided tour of the Commons and the Lords.
They auditioned for a TV programme called "Noson Lawen" on the Welsh speaking channel S4C .
The Players and Dance Team have entertained at various venues such as homes for the elderly, pensioners parties, in the Town Hall at Holyhead in the Annual Revues and Pantomimes - of which all proceeds go to charities. These events have raised thousands of pounds for charity.......... continued
