The Llaingoch area of Holyhead holds an Annual Summer Flower and Produce Show every August  at Holyhead High School .  In 2002 the Society celebrated their their
                        50th Annual Summer Show!

The show was started by quarry men working at what is now the Holyhead Breakwater Country Park, from its humble beginnings the show grew to include birds and caged animals.

Now, however the Show's 200 classes are for flowers, garden produce, art, handicrafts and cookery.  The show is open to  members and non-members alike and the classes are for novices and specialists alike.  One section of the show is for novices only, whilst another class is for the heaviest onion with mammoth 5lb onions being placed on the show bench!  Entry forms for the flower show can be obtained through the  Society Secretary at (01407) 762837 or by e-mailing HERE! - through HOLYHEAD.COM

The 2004 show broke new ground as the Llaingoch and District    Horticultural Society twinned with the South Dublin (Dun Laoghaire)  Horticultural Society, receiving        generous sponsorship from both Irish Ferries and Stena Line in  connection with the  produce show.
