    The first KINGSLAND school was opened on May 18th 1903.  Mr. Williams Williams was the architect, and Messrs. Edward, John and Richard Owen  were the contractors.  Members of the school board were Mr. John N. Thomas (Chairman), Mr. William D. Jones (Vice Chairman), Rev. john Hughes, Mr. W. S. Owen, Mr. T. Slater, Cannon D. W. Thomas MA, and Rev. John Williams.  The school's clerk was Mr. R. E. Pritchard, and Mr. E. Treflyn Jones was the attendance officer.

    The new school building was opened in 1974, and an additional unit was built in 1992.
    There are 186 full time children at the school, and 25 part time children.  Most of the pupils speak English as their first language, but are taught the Welsh language at this bilingual school. 
    Emphasis is placed on teaching social skills to the children within a happy, busy atmosphere, sealed with good child to teacher relationships and respect.
