Crowning

Charlotte Owen age 11yrs,of Holyhead beat stiff competition to become Holyhead 2000 MILLENNIUM QUEEN. Charlotte was crowned by Elsbeth Michenson, and afterwards a celebration Show was given by Mary Parrys Players, her Parti Dawns Lan Mor,and Parti Dawns Lan Mor (Marys junior and senior dance teams), with guest appearances from the Baby Starlets (Holyhead Sapphire Majorettes) team, Holyheads very own Laurel and Hardy Steve and Bud Hodgson, and Paul Ahern International Solo singer.
Amongst the invited guests were the Mayor Cllr. and Mrs. John Chorlton, The Master of Ceremony for the evening was Air Commodore Michael Milligan who summed up the event perfectly by announcing that it had been a great success. He thanked Mrs.Mary Parry very much for all her hard work in putting such a great show together, and all that this involves. He thanked all the cast for their hard work also, and to the invited guests for attending. The Mayor also thanked everyone involved in making the evening such a success. He also wished Queen Charlotte all the best for the coming year.
