HUSBAND and WIFE make SWEET HARMONY!
Derek and Carol Pritchard are a husband and wife due who have been married for nearly 30 years and not only do they share the same employment but they share the same
interests like singing and entertaining.
Between them they have many years of musical knowlegde which started at an early age as Carol was a memeber of the Salvation Ary Band - as were other members of her family. She also sang with a the singing company, and in her school choir, then she went on to join the Sea Cadet Band as a teenager. It was where she and Derek met as Derek was a lead drummer and bugler with the Cadets.
They married and had daughter Amanda and son Gareth which meant that for a while anywasy their musical
interests had to be put on hold.
Then Derek helped to form a Celtic fold bank who played
locally. He playerd the Bodrhan and progressed on to the Concertina and he also sang. Carol also became involved with the band and supported them during their various gigs.
Derek has also been an active member of Cor Meibion Y Traeth for the past few years
Derek and Carol finally discovered that they could sing
together in harmony - and hence their stage name was born!
"SWEET HARMONY"
They have been "on the circuit" singing in hotels in Llandudno, Clubs and even Cruise ships in Las Vagas as well as doing some local charity events.
"Sweet Harmony" sing easy listening, middle of the road music which includes, Welsh, Irish, County & Western as well as some Rock 'n Roll.
