TRAVELODGE HOTEL

Work on building a new two million pound Travelodge hotel at Kingsland near A55 Junction 1 in Holyhead was underway and set to open in October 2007. Demolished to make way for the hotel was the former John Hughes Ironmungers/hardware shop (which later became the Colleseum night club), the Auto Save bike and car part selling store and some houses including "Sunnyside" the former home of Mr John Hughes who owned the Ironmongers. John Hughes was also a funeral director.
